In support of BAD Sun Awareness Week 2023

Skin55 are offering full skin and mole checks with Dr Ai-lean Chew, Consultant Dermatologist for £195 during British Association of Dermatologists (BAD) Sun Awareness week 1 - 7th May.

If you have a mole identified as requiring biopsy for further analysis, your consultant will discuss the method of removal (shave or formal excision) and the procedure costs, recovery, likely outcomes, meeting your expectations, risks and complications.

If you wish to go ahead with the procedure and are self funding, this can usually take place on the day.

For self-pay patients, the consultation costs £195 and the procedure fees if you proceed are in addition to this and set out below.

Shave biopsy £330 clinic fee + £200 surgeon fee + £200 histopathology
Excision biopsy £880 clinic fee + £500 surgeon fee + £200 histopathology

For patients wishing to use their medical insurance; the procedure, Consultant and Clinic must be authorised by your insurer in order for the fees to be covered, subject to any policy excess, co-payment or exclusion. This may mean you have to come back another day.
