Professor Fan is a Consultant Maxillofacial Surgeon and is board certified in Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery in the UK. Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Kings College London.
Prof Fan qualified in Medicine from University of London, Queen Mary University London, St Batholomew’s and The Royal London Hospital. She qualified in Dentistry from Guy’s Hospital, University of London. Her PhD was in Photodynamic therapy at University College London and she was a member of the Department of Health working party on the Applications of Photodynamic Therapy.
Prof Fan is well published in maxillofacial surgery, trauma, TMJ surgery and photodynamic therapy. Prof Fan’s practice encompasses facial reconstructive surgery following skin cancer and cranio-facial trauma. She has a high volume practice in orthognathic surgery, complex facial injuries and facial scar management. She has over 15 years experience with using
lasers. She also sees patients for problems relating to facial, orthognathic, temperomandibular joints, salivary gland, oral, dental and mucosal disorders.
Professor Fan is specialist trained in the UK through some of the most prestigious units, Kings College Hospital, Guy’s Hospital, Queen Victoria Hospital East Grinstead, Kent and Canterbury Hospital. She is a Council Member of the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and British Medical Laser Association.
